Obi-Wan Kenobi Rainbow Lightsaber Animated Cursor

You already know the hum before you even see it. This is Obi-Wan’s lightsaber, the classic blue blade on a chrome-and-black hilt, except someone convinced it to stop being just blue. Every loop the blade runs the whole rainbow: red slides into orange, then yellow, green, cyan, blue, violet, and around again, like the crystal inside finally decided to show off. The mouse pointer gets the same treatment. It’s a second saber held up at an angle, its blade sweeping through the spectrum like it has an opinion about your next click (it does). A Jedi Master’s weapon was never meant to come in every color at once, and that’s the whole point: the good guy’s saber, turned all the way up to rainbow.

Fun fact: whatever color the blade turns, the hum is real audio history. Ben Burtt built the lightsaber sound from an old film projector motor, mixed with buzz he picked up from a TV picture tube by walking past it with a live microphone.
